Sheehan Treated for Dehydration in Texas

WAC[K]O, Texas-- Anti-war demonstrator Cindy Sheehan was hospitalized Friday evening for dehydration and exhaustion after fasting for more than a month and protesting earlier this week in 100-degree weather, friends and relatives said.
Sheehan was listed in stable condition at Providence Health Center in Waco. Brenda Mauk, a nursing supervisor, declined to release additional information.
Sheehan, 49, was hospitalized after friends picked her up Friday afternoon at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, where she arrived after spending several days in Seattle at the Veterans for Peace convention, said friend Tiffany Burns.
Sheehan, who has been on a liquid diet as part of the nationwide "Troops Home Fast" hunger strike, had been treated and released from a Seattle emergency room Thursday night. On doctors orders, she ate for the first time in about 37 days, Burns said.
Sheehan also underwent additional tests for uterine bleeding, her sister Dede Miller said.
Sheehan was to spend Friday night in the Waco hospital but planned to attend some war protest activities Saturday at the 5-acre lot she bought last month in Crawford, President Bush's adopted hometown, about 20 miles from Waco.
Sheehan kicked off her summer war protest Sunday, the one-year anniversary of her first anti-war demonstration in Crawford that attracted more than 10,000 people over 26 days.
"She's in good spirits, but she's sad she can't be at Camp Casey," Burns told The Associated Press, referring to the campsite named for her soldier son Casey who was killed in Iraq in 2004.

Why are the Democrats no longer pushing her as "the" symbol of their anti-war movement? I think they should continue to do so. If they don't, then we, the neo-cons, won't forget her, nor let her fade into the sunset.

If there is EVER EVAR any doubt that she and her traveling band of circus freaks are out of their ever loving-damned minds and need to be committed to some offshore island then PLEASE PLEASE go down to Crawford and spend a day around those people.
I never spoke to Sheehan herself, but I did attempt to speak to her ilk. Most brainless dip****s I've ever met. There are reasonable well reasoned liberals out there, but anything they have to say is drowned out by the sideshow crowd. Then again, I feel the same way about some on the right.

I never spoke to Sheehan herself, but I did attempt to speak to her ilk. Most brainless dip****s I've ever met. There are reasonable well reasoned liberals out there, but anything they have to say is drowned out by the sideshow crowd. Then again, I feel the same way about some on the right.
I expect you to go out there when you return to "Jerusalem on the Brazos" or whatever you people call it these days, and take some pics of that crewe to post here. Ideally, you should bring along one of those small Weber grills and cook some greasy hamburger meat upwind of them too.;) Please take some of their brochures and scan a few in too please.
See, I've heard they're mostly communists and anarchists who hang out with Ms Moonbat down there and I'd like a little independent corroboration.

I expect you to go out there when you return to "Jerusalem on the Brazos" or whatever you people call it these days, and take some pics of that crewe to post here. Those people are not your average neighbors who disagree with the war and want to speak out. These are "cause" leftists who crawl out of the bottom sludge of the cess pool for whatever is the cause-of-the-day.
The thing that really burns my *** is that the media knows that these are all cause leftists and not "concerned citizens" as they're portrayed as. It only takes a little bit of experiance at these things to start identifing the cause protesters from the ad-hoc concerned protesters.
Anti-war protesting is the focus, but you get a good assortment of radical leftist causes at these things. I've seen countless Che-shirt types, socialist/communist literature being distributed, and representatives from far-left organizations like ANSWER.

I have yet to see a leftist that I'd hit. Maybe a few of them if they'd learn the art of daily showering and the modern miracle of shampoo.
I'm a bit OCD and take 2-3 showers a day. If I sweat, even a little, I have to take a shower. Soo...I just can't stand women who are dirty looking (see my thread on the two girls who showed up to my apt) and there are a lot of nasty *** biznitches at leftist cause demonstrations.
Can any of you older folk who may have been somewhat counter-cultural in your youth explain to me why counter-culturalism and basic hygiene aren't compatible? I'm dead serious here. I'd like to hear some sort of explanation.

Because daily bathing wastes precious potable water which could otherwise be used for the indoor cultivation of marijuana and pherenomes contained in human sweat and bodily secretions which are washed away by bathing have a subconscious turn-on effect on the opposite sex. IOW, all that obsessive bathing may be your problem there Skippy.;)

Pretty shrewd of the President to choose such an arid location for his "retreat."
Also, dude, seriously, stop bathing so much. Drive your cabbage burner over to the local doc and ask for something.
