Is it okay to wear a Waylon t-shirt to a Shooter Jennings show, or is that too close to wearing the t-shirt of the band your watching at their show?
TIA

No.

A sharp tuxedo is your only true option.

if it's a vintage shirt I say go for it, although a Poison or Megadeath shirt would be better

Isn't a tie dyed Skynyrd shirt the only appropriate thing to wear to a concert?

A classic no matter where you go.. from the beach to a formal wedding.

pretty much. a tie-dyed any kind of band shirt is the best way to go.

Make sure that you are 6-4 and weigh about 250- 260 and get the shirt in size L for the full effect.

I say a vintgage Iron Maiden shirt with Eddie on it in full glory, or Erasure.
Erasure would go over well.

or Bronski Beat.

i saw a dude wearing an REO '81 concert shirt the other day at the grocery store. it was one of those "baseball" style undershirts/concert T's with the black 3/4 length sleeves and shoulders like you would wear under your jersey when it was 8 billion degrees playing 3rd base in the 5:45 game in August.

Whatever you wear, even if Shooter sells panties, don't be this guy.

So any way, Shooter and the 357's brought it tonight. Leroy Powell, Ted Russell Kamp, and Bryan Keeling are f'ing stellar. Plus Shooter covered my favorite Waylon song and segued it into a 8 min workout of Daddy's Farm to close the show. It was awesome. Now if Trent Summar will just come through Lincoln.

Because it is a generally accpeted principal that wearing the t-shirt of the band your seeing is a ********* move. I didn't make the rule, it's just the way it is.

I assume it has to do with looking a little to eager. I think it is more for seeing bands that play small venues than large venues, e.g. Guy in the indie rock band t-shirt at said indie rock bands show when there is 40 people in the audience.

I was at a local band show where everybody was buying T-shirts and putting them on right there.

That's even worse than wearing the shirt to the show.

I say wear the Waylon shirt if it is an authentic item you got at a Waylon show at least 15 years ago, hopefully more.

On the other hand, if it's a reproduction vintage concert shirt like you can buy off the rack at places like Dillards, or The Buckle, you should immediately throw it in the garbage and hang your head in shame.

What if it is a Waylon shirt you bought from his website that had just been sitting in inventory for years, which is what the shirt I have is?
