GM revives Camaro muscle car

Thursday August 10, 9:47 AM EDT

TRAVERSE CITY, Michigan (Reuters) - General Motors Corp. on Thursday said it would build a revived version of the Camaro muscle car to go on sale in the first quarter of 2009.
GM said it would begin production of the Camaro at the end of 2008. The production model of the car will be almost identical to the concept version of the sport coupe unveiled at the Detroit auto show in January, GM said.

Just tell the barber to leave the back untouched and trim the bangs and sides. You'll have one in no time.

He alternates between the Gretsch and a Les Paul and something else when I saw them. There were a couple of clips on youtube from their concert I saw back in March in NYC.

The video for The Darkness' 'A Thing Called Love' has little references to all those videos. Even the lasering of a door. And killing a monster with a guitar laser. And lots of other stuff.

It will RYFO.

Achiro, here's your answer on the engine for the mullet mobile....

The front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sport coupe will feature an independent rear suspension, and will be offered in a variety of models with the choice of manual and automatic transmissions and V-6 and V-8 engines.

The V6 engines from GM have generally been anemic, at least to me..Ford on the other hand has been quite good with that configuration.
I believe it was '95 when GM finally put together a decent V6 but the damned motor still has the ****tiest oiling system of any engine made.
All it takes is a .35 spring in the pump to **** up a $25k ride..and GM is damn good at it.

Their 3.8L OHV model has been pretty solid for a couple of decades or more. Good low-end torque and pretty decent mileage too.

If my kid earns it, I don't have a problem. If he's a class cutting, bad grade getting delinquent, it'll still be mine.

A v8 mustang gets 17 city/25 highway, I'd think this car will be in line with that.

My first car was a big block '72 Monte Carlo. I did the same thing. I grew out of it. I can deal with flooring it as long as he doesn't drive reckless.

And, for the record, I don't plan on getting the top of the line SS model with no telling how many horsepower.
