Sure you could wait until nine, but give one good reason?

Lazy neighbors?

Stroke in your sleep?

I didn't think so.

You were out there doing what most men would have enjoyed... well, never. Trimming hedges.

Pulling weeds.

Raking last year's leaves.

...all mulched into a glorious lawn you mulched into a mulchy goodness for all to see.

So here's to you, Mr. Seven A.M. Lawn Mower Guy. You own your block until this evening.

If I was a mower dude this summer, I might start up at 6am to beat the heat, yo.

Nieghbor's who have their lawn mowed at 7 am deserve to be negged. And if you can't neg them, then the old dog poop in the burning bag trick should work.

Get up, you lazy butt.

7AM is the only time it's light and less than 95 degrees...

Before we got married my wife bought one of those corded electric lawn mowers. It can be a PITA, but our front yard is tiny so it's not too bad.

It's like mowing in stealth mode.

The lazy asses can mow their lawn at 10 am on Saturday morning when I do. I sweat about the same amount as I do when I work out.

I owned one of these

http://images.canadiantire.ca/media/images/GardenPatio/PowerEquipment/Lawnmowers/Manual/0601526_450_CC_198d6.jpg

when we lived in an Edmond condo.

Of course, my lawn duties only covered about 8 square feet.

But man, was it quiet.

I can't remember everything from Criminal Law class, but I think it says somewhere that it's okay to kill people who mow before 9 a.m. Check the Oklahoma Statutes. If not, I'm sure such a killing could be defended as a temporary insanity thing.

Amen to that. I mowed yesterday, edged, pulled out the electric hedge-trimmer and went to town on the shrubbery, swept up some with a push broom...

...and left the rest of the clippings out until tonight, when I can steal my dad's leaf sucker. By all that is holy, it was freakin' hot.

Did you call the cops?

'Cause it sounds illegal.

I got a neighbor that starts mowing at 9pm. Thank goodness my house is rather soundproof.

If you were my neighbor and did that on a weekday, I'd kill you where you stood.:texan:

Or at least I'd call you lots of nasty names, and maybe try to get my dogs to poop on your lawn.

mids, nites or graves

that about covers it.

anyone who doesn't like for me to mow @ 7:30, please feel free to mow it
for me, any hour, nite or day.

names won't hurt me, & dogs already poop on my lawn. makes for the greenest spots.

Interesting. On weekdays, most people are up by 7, if not already on their way to work. I'd be more irritated by someone waking me up early on a weekend while I was trying to sleep a little longer. (this is purely theoretical, as I get up at 5am, 7 days a week) I generally won't mow my lawn before 8 or 9 on weekends, out of respect for my neighbors.

it's much hotter @ 8 or 9, especially for the really old; like me.

Most everyone gets to work at about 9:00. I live about half a mile from work and it only takes me about 30 minutes to get ready.

I have a small baby, who may or may not let me sleep through the night (although he is getting much better).

On a weekend, I can always take a nap.

My neighbor does the same thing. Cranks up that damn lawnmower at 5 or 6 o'clock on a Saturday morning. The guy is retired so it's not like he doesn't have any other time of day - or day of the week to mow his stinking grass. JK - tell me you were kidding - tell me you are not a 5:00 lawnmower person. I did return the favor one Sunday morning though. I cranked up the motorcycle and reved it a few times for him!!

You want to really get back at him, rev it up at about 8:30 pm. He should be just getting to sleep right about then.

Good idea, actually I think his bed time is probably earlier than that. He has to get to bed early so he can wake up with the roosters and **** off the whole neighborhood:D

As a student i mow lawns i nthe summer and usually shoot for about 7 pm but, as the days gets shorter and whenever i have an evening conflict i sometimes end up doing them about 4 or 5. Not good.

the earlier the better, but i wouldn't mow in the dark.
