On the Golf Channel......Ultimate Matches, Couples vs Mickelson.

The interesting part is it's being held at Gaillardia Golf & CC in OKC. I've never even heard of that course but it's on if anyone wants to check it out.

Not sure of the year this was filmed but I'd guess around 1999 or 2000.

I remember it. Phil kicks his butt so badly that Couples cries about it to a kid on the last hole. I do believe Phil hits it 30 yards past him all day.

there's also a mini match betwixt the caddies.

a girl I graduated high school with lives on that course, castle for a house I'm told.

that year sounds about right. I remember when it was done.
Galladaria is a Gaylord course and property development - a bit upscale.

Jack Whittaker(sp) has a cheesy line at the end of the match....
.."you're doin fine Oklahoma...Oklahoma...OK"

good jorb - you just ruined it for Pat. He was pulling for Freddy to make a miraculous comeback.

Speaking of Pat - has Tiger ever played in a Wonderful World of Golf match?

i just turned that on......the Gaylords actually sold Gaillardia to some another management group not too long ago.

It's kind of funny to watch these somewhat old matches.

Freddy is wearing the 845 visor - assume he is still playing the 845's at the time.

If I remember right, Phil is using the prototype Pro V1 during this match.

This isn't that long ago, but when they hit driver it looks like a current day 3-wood.

I hate to say this about a course in the city of which I live, but there aren't enough trees on that course. ;)

Trees? That course was built on top of a cow pasture. You'll have to wait another decade or two before you get trees.

BTW- Those mansions make the Nichols Hills ones look like a bunch of outhouses. What do those people do for a living? Those homes have got to be going for 2-3 million a peice. My concrete plant is near there, and when we pour a foundation, it is a very big event.

What do those people do for a living?

I can't speak for all of the residents but one guy used to own Chickasha Manufacturing and mover there when he sold it.

Another guy owns Domino Transport (it's Domino somethingorother). You might have heard of them, they haul fuel to gas stations and he also has Domino Equipment(car wash equipment) and he just bought a Yamaha motorcycle dealership.

Yeah, I've seen those Domino firecrackers. They drive some real nice maroon Peterbilts, and they are some runnin' trucks too.
