I don't see OU releasing Bomar to a team on our future schedule. Besides he has to get cleared by the NCAA yet. Would be fun to beat him if at NTS.

I think Bomar has already received an unconditional release. Per Bob, the coaching staff and AD did not feel that it would be fair to kick a guy off the team then keep him from transferring anywhere that'd have him.

correct me if i'm wrong, but if he doesn't get reinstated by the beginning of this season(knowing the ncaa, it could be after the end of the season), won't he be sitting out the 07 season anyway because of his transfer?

I have no idea about the rules, but he forgot how big a privilge it is to wear the crimson and cream, so i really don't care what he is wearing, just hope he learned his leason.

Sad, but it could be fun to watch him get slapped around. At least that would provide a little closure.

The stories I've heard are that he's already enrolling at UH and Sam Houston. He'd be a fool to plan his comeback to college football to involve playing for NT at Norman. Complete, utter fool.

Its nice that Peterson chimed in along with the coaches. I didnt think AD would care if they gave him the release or not. Thanks for the inside information.... :D
