I just started reading this book. It's very fascinating so far. Right now I'm at the part where MacArthur was struggling to adjust to the ChiComs pouring into Korea.

We could really use another MacArthur right about now. Dude had balls of steele and seemed like an excellent commander.

Except in Korea where is delusion got us railed because he surrounded himself with yes men, and was more concerned with political power than tactical astuteness. Matthew Ridgeway saved our ***es in Korea. Sure the Inchon landing worked well, but once the ChiComs came in he didn't do much of anything right.
