-3 after 6, despite watching several players making birdies early ahead of him......still a 2 shot lead at -21. just missed a birdie putt at 6.

thanks for the reminder. I was watching the Brickyard race. I'll probably split my time and watch both now.

Woods is 20-0 with a 2 shot or more lead after 54 holes, they said. kind of like Sergio at Hoylake, Tiger has already opened up a 5 shot lead on his playing partner--who was 2 back on the first tee.

I'd love to see Verplank win even though he's a poke (and wearing orange today).

Wier and Singh have fallen off the pace.

Furyk 8 under for the day and within one.....but prolly running out of holes. unless Tiger makes a bogey somewhere--which is like double at Warwick Hills compared to anywhere else.

at least Furyk is keeping it interesting. I don't see Tiger losing this one.

Tiger should have gone with an iron on his tee shot?

Tiger should have gone with an iron on his tee shot?

340 yard par 4 and he hits it pin high.

it looks like he should have.

he's kind of dicking up these short par 4's. Now that I say that, he'll probably make birdie from the rough.

I think his belly is hindering his swing a little.

Furyk's got to make a birdie at 18....to have any real shot.
so much for that.

That should do it for Tiger. I'm back to watching full time racing.

So much for Eldrick not being able to play well without his dad around; he has looked invincible in these last 2 tourneys and has to be the favorite for Medinah

from what i've read about the "new" PGA set-up of Medinah versus the 99 set-up....it's going to be VERY long (longer than Whispering Straits) and very tight. 17 of 18 holes have been altered in some way. i haven't seen anything not saying Tiger is by far the odds on favorite....and he's certainly playing well, hitting it incredibly, but his putting seemed mortal today.

And he shot 6 under, so i would hate to see him when his putting is on:D

absolutely. he just barely missed birdie putts on 4 and 6 i think....or else today was over at the turn. but, you have to remember, Warwick Hills where they played today is one one of the easier scoring courses on Tour. look at the scores. like i said above, making bogey at WH is like making double anywhere else vs. the field. no one is going to be -20 at Medinah.

now, the interesting thing to me is why so many players will show up to play at altitude at the International this week and then come back down to Medinah (or wherever the PGA is each year). that'd be a week i'd skip unless i was playing to keep my card/top 125 on the money list....or was a former winner.

Good ol' Whispering Straits. ;)

They said Medinah wold play as the longest course in major championship history with about 28 yards-wide fairways.
