Those all happened in the spring.
Both Smith and Kelly wore those numbers in HS ball.
Chaney changed his number to 84
Keenan Clayton changed from 9 to 22.

I wouldn't be shocked if Hamlin does. That car was a rocket at Pocono, and I bet it will be fast tomorrow too. I'd be okay with Burton too, if Kenseth or Labonte can't do it.

The RCR cars have really picked it up this year. I would be shocked if the 38 or 88 pulled one out. RYR has turned into PE jr this year.

I think RYR has stopped putting money into those teams. They have just flat out sucked.

The motors are still there, the aero has just gone to ****. Maybe the Yates are looking to get out. It would be sweet if the Mark Martin buying them out rumors were true.
It's too bad. I would root for Elliot if he would get out of that damn M&M's car and get a decent ride. It sucks to think we might have seen the best from him until he gets in the broadcast booth.

I think he'll be okay in the 19 next year if Evernham decides to pay attention to that team again. Mayfield got a raw deal there this year.

At least Toyota is going to plow a ton of money into their efforts. I wish they NASCAR would have made of the teams to clean sheet motors for the car of tomorrow with Toyota coming in. Yates thinks he could add another 250HP if NASCAR went to twin overhead cams. That'd be sweet.

I see Dale Jr. leaving DEI within a couple of years if Theresa doesn't start putting money into their operation.
I've heard their R&D department is light years behind Rousch, Hendrick, and Gibbs.
I could see him going to RCR or starting his own team.(If he can't get DEI)

There was some talk of MB2 merging with DEI. I could see him at RCR. I don't know why RCR and DEI don't do motors together. IMO, DEI started slipping when they let Ty Norris go, and got Richie Gilmore away from doing motors.

I used to hate until about 6 years ago. The first race I watched was when Earnhardt was killed. I then went to an Atlanta race and I was hooked.
People will never get it until they go to a race and then learn the drivers personalities.
