There used to be a place there called Loveras that sold all kinds of Brats and cheeses, damn good eating.

Lovera's is still there, but as for food, Pete's is my preferred destination of choice in Krebs. :D

It's almost always packed; Isle of Capri is good also, but we just prefer Pete's and will usually wait as long as it's not too long of a wait. :pop:

Tontitown in Arkansas has some pretty good Italian eats too. Their festival is coming up this week.

That drive from Flint Creek to Tonitown to get beer takes you right past the Cherokee Casino...

Very Dangerous for me...:D

Pete's Place for fried chicken.

There's been a bunch of famous people eat there. They have photos.

When my dad was a youngin' (back in the 50s), he and my grandpa would pass thru Krebs every weekend on their way to "the ranch". They'd go thru there about 11:00 on saturday mornings, and Pete's of course wasn't open 'til dinner time. They knew one of the waitresses there, she'd let them in, and sit them at a little table in the kitchen to eat. An order of lamb fries was a quarter, and it was a HEARTY order (WAY more than what you get now for $15 or so). I grew up going there for special occasions, and loved it. But the last few times I've been there (over the past 5 years or so) it has REALLY gone downhill. TOOOOOOO overpriced and the quality of food has gone way down. Plus our waitress, think her name was Carrie, died of cancer several years ago and it just wasn't the same after that.
