I bought a house in january for 132,000 bucks. pretty good buy i thought.
well I accepted an offer last night after six months here of 155,000.
I just went and witnessed an auction for a house of my size that had never been touched since it was built. Good solid brick home in a great neighborhood(better than mine). but totally needed redone inside..
It auctioned off at 187,000 bucks.
so, I went from being all giddy inside for making some change on my house to thinking i just gave that guy a great deal..

anyhow..

auctions typocally overprice a house or anything...People get caught up in the frenzy and over pay, that's why there are auctions.

I bet you got a more realistic value and the guy that paid 187,000 way overpaid and may never see that returned...

Geez, read between the lines. Martin is sad because his wife will soon be joining him.

Little tiny shacks here in Podunk, southwest of Orlando, are going for $200,000+. Absolutely ridiculous. What I wouldn't give to see a REAL house, like back home...a BRICK one. All this cinderblock and sherbet stucco really SUCKS.
