It is amazing how fast the "sour grapes fans" on this board change their tune. Lose the starting q-back and all of a sudden he was not that good and the defense will cover for the loss. Lose an offensive linemen, that could be a starter for an already thin line, and Adrian will pick up the slack. And OU will automatically beat Texas because they are OU.
This is a major loss and we may not have heard the end of it. (Adrian and his Lexus may become the next discussion point- let's hope not!) Some of these people think that you can lose your stud q-back with no seasoned replacement, and a starting lineman, and win with defense. And besides that, who says OU has the best defense. Texas says their's will be improved over last year and that is a bit scary.
As pointed out by another poster, this may be a three year recovery and if the NCAA starts an investigation that lasts into recruiting season, that will only compound the situation.
But on the bright side, Stoops can make a real name for himself if he pulls out a decent season after this. Then again, it could only raise his value with NFL teams that have an interest in him. Let's hope for the best.
