The San Diego Chargers have waived wide receiver Rashaun Woods and claimed wide receiver Gerran Walker off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts.

Walker is a 5-9, 188-pound receiver out of Lehigh University. He had originally joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent following April’s NFL Draft. Woods was acquired by the Chargers in an April trade with the San Francisco 49ers for cornerback Sammy Davis.

As a senior in 2005, Walker earned first-team All-Patriot League honors after leading Lehigh with 38 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns. He was also the team’s leading kickoff return man with 29 returns for 702 yards (24.2-yard average). As a junior in 2004, Walker was a second-team all-league choice.

I guess NFL DB's aren't as easy to push off.

NFL QBs don't throw the ball up for grabs in the end zone either.

"OSU is teh suck," by badger

Oklahoma State University, better known as OSU, is what you could call, "teh suck."
http://sts.synflood.de/dump/fun/normal_teh-suck.jpg
Students who attend OSU attend because they could not attend other universities of higher quality and higher standards, such as the University of Oklahoma.
http://sooners.onesite.com/images/profile.jpg
Once students are at OSU, they are tied to each other so that they cannot leave.

After students are awarded diplomas after spending enough time tied to each other, "graduates" OSU cons employers into hiring "alumni."

Unfortunately, should any graduates find jobs, the only exit from OSU is to jump off a very high building:

those who survive the "boone pickens plunge," as it is called, never look the same again. Many grow mullets.

In conclusion, for all reasons stated above, OSU is "teh suck."

Two issues come to mind....

One, it shows how good/special one REALLY have to be to make it in NFL!! What you did in college and who you were in college don't mean SQUAT!!!

Two, team in the NFL are starting to go away from the "big" WR types. Here within the last 4 years or so teams have been drafting these big WR such as TO, Chris Chambers, P. Burress, J.Walker, K. Johnson, TFRW, Mike Williams etc.. Problem is these guys can't do anything after the catch (with the except of TO, Moss, and C.Johnson) and they can't adjust that well to poorly thrown ball because they are getting so big. Now just within the last year your seeing a shift from these type of WR's to the smaller shifter type of WR that is explosive. For example, Hines Ward, S. Smith, Torry Holt, M. Harrison, S. Moss, R. Wayne, D. Mason etc.. These guys all can take a hitch pattern and make about 4 people miss on there way to monster YAC yds. or a TD. Thats why I think Mark Clayton came along at a PERFECT time and is gonna be a star. Also look at the WR's drafted this year. S. Holmes, S. Moss, G. Jennings, S. Green. 95% of the WR drafted were either just over 6'0 or under. The way of the small shifty WR is coming back.

David Robinson could be All-Pro.

I think the comment about Woods not being able to push off as easily in the NFL is right on. On that infamous day in November of 2001 I was in the South End zone and watched in horror as Woods blatantly pushed off to catch the go ahead TD.

It also appears that the NFL has safeties that don't bite on the run fake the way ours did in 2001-2002.
