Digi Camera memory card knower abouters? [Archive]

My laptop has slots for various sizes and shapes of camera memory cards. I can just pop one in and download pics onto my computer.

Can I then clear the card and upload pics back onto it, like I would any other disc drive?

Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. The files corrupt easily on the flash (etc) cards.

At least that's my experience.

I just really didn't want my laptop to be the primary storage area for photo's but my other computer is being worked on and the cards I have are all full. I wanted to load them to the laptop but then move them over later without all the burning them to a dvd thing.

I would just do a file transfer fromt he laptop to the other computer when it gets back.
But I also have my pictures stored on my laptop and on an external drive as a backup.
