88- Played with some buds on Sat. Two of them slowed us down a bit, but the beer was flowing like beer. I couldn't have been much happier off the tee as I hit 11 of 14 !!! The driver was pretty en fuego. I hit a few 290+ . The putter sucked for a change. For some reason, a ****load of beer does not bode well for the putter, in my case. I kept opening the face up and pushing the putts. I finished birdie, par, par, par. So you can guess I blew up a bit somewhere in the middle holes of the day.

anyone?

Didn't play this weekend but for years I was plateaued at 88. No matter what, if I was on pace for an 84 I would snowman the last hole for an 88. That's about the time I got married/had a kid/started playing twice a year if I'm lucky. The end

97 on the new Links course here (Stoolwater).....it's the first time I ever played it and they opened the back nine and that mother is tight. I was OB on about 4 different holes on the back. Surprisingly the new greens were lightning fast .

The 18 hole course wasn't that bad back when I played. That's where I played for the first time with my dad, so I was a youngster. I remember a couple of the holes, that the owners were a-holes and that my dad turned over a golf cart here in his younger days because of gravity and alcohol. :D

I played the 9 hole course with him too when I was young and they had just built it. It wasn't TOO bad either, but not great. The worst part is I actually played it about a YEAR AGO with a friend of mine who lives in Porter. It was horrible.

No hole in one to report, unfortunately...I know most of you are as surprised as I am.

Played Saturday morning, 75, Sunday 78 and really had it going on the front, was 2 under and then the wheels didn't just come off, they were stolen. Damn messicans.

Played in a scramble for work at Bailey Golf ranch yesterday, we shot -17...and lost by 3...I call BS on that. they must have had a better pencil.

Did I mention that i didn't have a hole-in-one?

Even 100 at Creekside Club in Hiram, GA. Again, I proved my worthlessness at putting. I was consistent all day with my awesome drive. On one of the holes I hit a 330-350 yard drive and was on the green in 2. I then proceeded to double bogey the hole. PA-THET-IC.

We played the gold which are the second shortest so I don't know of any par 3's anywhere close to that long.

The par 3 that's right off 145th E Ave? After the par 5? I made 4 I think.

I decided to play 9 last night at the little local place, my buddy bailed, so I got stuck with a family- Father, wife, son. The father and son were normal enough, but the wife was a friggin train wreck. I can handle someone sucking, but she was a freaking retard! At one point, she yelled at her son for moving (slightly) and she pretty much duffed it, just like the two shots previously. Another thing, she was never ready to hit when it was her turn, so the group behind us, hit up to about 25 yards behind where she was hitting. She freaked out. She started waving her club at them as if to say I'm here! Like they needed that.
Before she hit the shot (par 5) she claimed it was going to be her second, it was her third WITH a mulligan. After the following hole (par 3) we were near our tee box and the group behind us is hitting to the green on the hole we just finished. One guy yanks his tee shot and he doesn't yell fore. Kind of a big deal, but she wigs out more. As one of the guys is walking down to the hole she yells at him, "That's 3 times you have AIMED at me, if you do it again, I am going to sue you for stalking!!"
I guess the guy didn't really hear her the first time, b/c she thought it was enough of a gem to repeat a second time. Keep in mind, she has no idea who had hit the tee shot on the previous incident on the par 5!! I decided after 7 and sitting at 38, that the round was a wash and packed it in as my game sucked and there was a back up on the 8th hole - par 3. I forgot to mention that she stood DIRECTLY on my line 3 times within 3 feet of the hole!

Crappy golfers- If you suck, it's no big deal, but be ready to hit when it's your turn or even be ready when it's not, cuz someone is looking for their ball!
