I would definately like to know how that's going. Of course her idea of fasting doesn't seem to involve actually denying herself of a lot of things.

I hope the Dems in 4th district come to their senses and ensure Hank Johnson (http://www.windsofchange.net/archives/008840.php) is the Democratic nominee for that district come November.

Part of me is glad I moved out of her district a few months ago, but another part of me is sad that I won't be able to cast a ballot against her next week. I was one of her unrepresented constituents for 5 years. In fact, this letter was the last thing I wrote before moving out of her district & to the other side of the city.

March 31, 2006

Rep. Cynthia McKinney
320 Cannon House Office Building
Washington DC, 20515

Rep. McKinney,

As one of your many constituents in the Georgia 4th district, I have been closely monitoring the recent news involving the incident between you and a Capitol Hill police officer. I have read the reports regarding the incident, your personal statements regarding the incident, and I just finished watching your press conference from Howard University where you appeared with two lawyers, a representative from the National Organization for Women (NOW), and a representative from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

I was willing to listen to your side of the story when you appeared to be sincere with your initial apology. However, after the racist dog and pony show that you just held at Howard University, you have zero credibility with me. To attempt to play the race card over an incident where a law enforcement officer was doing his job to protect all members of congress is reprehensible. Further, to imply that you will be pressing charges against the officer for doing that job reflects on your clear opposition to law and order both in Washington D.C. and your own district in Georgia.

You truly are an embarrassment to the Georgia 4th District, to the state of Georgia, to the House of Representatives, and to the United States of America. You are no victim. You are no patriot. You are, in one simple word, a racist. And in this constituent’s eyes, I have no competent representation in the House of Representatives.

Your embarrassed constituent,

LSUMeathead

CC:
Rep. Cynthia McKinney – 4th District Office
Rep. Nancy Pelosi – House Minority Leader
Rep. Melvin Watt – Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus
Gov. Sonny Perdue – Governor of the State of Georgia

The Washington Times
The Washington Post

Well, I did make a change before I posted it to the board. This is how I really ended the letter...

Great letter.

My folks and my home are in North Dekalb (Dunwoody). The residents there are raped by Dekalb county. The cries for secession grow louder and louder...North Fulton and North Dekalb could leave their current government entity...

Dekalb county has become a farse and is basically run by baffoons ever since Manuel Maloof (sp?).

Add Howard Dean and you have a trio who is as mixed up as a feather in a whirlwind. Howards primal scream after Iowa a couple of years ago remains one of the funniest soundbites ever. "We're gonna go to New Hampshire and win. Then on to .....and win and then on to ........ yeeeeeowwwwwwwwwww".

My house was in Brookhaven, less than a mile from the Fulton County/Buckhead line. There was ZERO people in my area that were represented by McKinney. Before that, I lived in the Toco Hills area. And we all know how fond Cynthia & her daddy Billy are of the J-E-W-S in that area.

I was always dismayed by the government in DeKalb county. Vernon Jones is all but indicted on rape and he gets re-elected. Money is constantly lost or wasted, and yet the people keep electing the same crooked county commissioners. The schools are grossly underfunded, and nothing is done to remedy the situation.

North DeKalb needs to take a note from Sandy Springs & get their tax dollars back. Until that happens, the north will continue to get raped by the south.

I moved out to Smyrna in Cobb County & I am starting to wonder why it took me this long to move out there!

I think all it will take is for another area to go and North Dekalb will follow. Dunwoody is too full of well-intentioned high income earners too afraid to speak their peace about the problems of Dekalb County. There is a clear dichotomy between 2/3rds of Dekalb County and the 1/3 of the county represented by Dunwoody. My parents tell me Dunwoody H.S. is like 60% minority, MTM is a good program in theory, but when a local school looks nothing like the community, I think it has gone a bit far. Given the premise of MTM, I am surprised that has happened. Every one is afraid in Dekalb and there is no surprise that the crooks keep getting elected. It has been happening since Maloof.

At least they finally got Bill Campbell. Poor Shirley seems to be trying to clean things up...

Funny! I used to vote in the democratic primaries to vote for the weakest dem to run against the woefully inadequate republican candidate. Though I could never vote against Sam Nunn.

All the more reason to find a competent replacement.

I may lean Republican. But I'm a big fan of a strong two-party system.

The Republicans in Washington have lost their way. And sadly, there's no impetus to change that when the opposition party keeps shooting itself in the foot by moving further and further to the left.

There is a lot of truth in that statement. Yesterday I heard that a group of Dems are starting the process of bringing an impeachment hearing up for Bush. I think the Republicans opened a Pandora's Box that they will never be able to close when they went after Clinton...even though I think they were justified in the investigations.

But is this what we have come to? Is the moderate politician an endangered species? Are we moving to a sharply polarized government full of socialists & religious fanatics? I lean to the right, but I find it hard to accept a lot of the party line that they shovel. But the left is so wildly off the wall, that there is no way I would move to their side.

It also doesn't help the dims that they can't seem to figure out this national security thing. All they want to do is impeach Bush for spying on terrorists,

Cut 'n run...

A piece of legislation sponsored by Democrats in the House of Representatives seeks to withdraw authorization for President George W. Bush to make war in Iraq, RAW STORY has learned.

And put their head in the sand...

Yesterday, Representative John Dingell of Michigan appeared on a Detroit television program along with Republican Candice Miller. They discussed the crisis in Lebanon; Dingell proclaimed himself neutral. "I don't take sides for or against Hezbollah; I don't take sides for or against Israel." Asked, "You're not against Hezbollah?" Dingell answers, "No..."

IMO, they never knew their way. They were the minority party for so long, they didn't/don't know how to lead...Sad, we needed their leadership, but their bumbling may give the dems an opening...

I listen to WAOK in Atlanta (the militant black radio station) from time to time just to get a good laugh. Lately, they have been talking McKinney 24/7. Each time a poll comes out that shows Hank Johnson in the lead, the host & callers all scream that the racist poll takers from Channel 11/AJC/United Negro League are only polling the white republicans from North DeKalb.

If you are in Atlanta, you have to tune in to 1380 AM WAOK from time to time to see what the black community REALLY thinks!

It's something like this! (http://drew.dm-w.com/FUC.jpg)

Cynthia Update!!!

Now she is suing the Atlanta Journal Constitution for libel for an Editorial. She is saying that the editorial writer got it wrong, she didn't hit the Capitol Hill Police with a cell phone and she never said Bush cause 9/11 to help his friends make money...

Funny, I seem to recall those things being attributed to her..

It really is funny. It is a talk radio station & all the hosts are either "Dr. Jaquima White" or "Rev. Thaddeus Jackson" or have some other dubious title attached to their name. Every time people call in they start off with something similar to "Honorable reverend, it is so good and I am so blessed to be in your presence on this glorious day. Now here is why I think whitey needs to die..." Honestly, a little Ying Yang Twins and Chamillionare would be an upgrade for this station! It woudl certainly make it a lot more tame!!

In the meantime, I love to just tune in and :pop:

Her campaign manager was all over the radio at lunch telling anyone that would listen that she is not filing any kind of libel suit against the AJC, even though it was all over the radio this morning that she was. Instead, she said McKinney is demanding an immediate retraction from the AJC on all articles and editorials that she sees as misleading, erronious, or defames her in any way.

This is quite rich coming from McKinney seeing how the AJC (and especially the editorial department) is wildly left wing.
