Win Anti-virus Software pop-ups??????

WTF do i have to do to get this damn software pop up from popping up on my computer every freakin' time i get online? I have used spyware to remove it on at least a weekly basis, but it still comes back; can anyone help me? Thanks.

what are you using for anti-virus and spyware removal? either it's not completely removing the source of the popups (if it's resident on your machine), or some site you're visiting on a regular basis keeps reinstalling the malware after you delete it. most likely, you've picked up a virus or malware program that keeps replicating the popup generator, so each time your software cleans it off, it just spawns another one. you're killing worker bees, not the queen.

you might try some different spyware removal software. adaware and spybot are both very good (and free). you can also try microsoft's free spyware tool. i've never used it but they say it's pretty good.

also, if you're using internet explorer, stop. switch to firefox. it's much more secure.
