I was talking to a mrotgage lady yesterday afternoon and I was giving her my info for pre-approval and then job history came up. I said well, I've been here for about 6 months and before that I worked at XYZ Construction for 5 months. She started laughing and said that her husband had worked for them as a Project Manager a few years ago and then asked me what I thought of them. I said, 'Well, I only worked there 5 months before I found a new job.' She started laughing again and said 'Yeah, my husband said that they were a joke, he's gonna love it when I tell him I talked to someone that thought the same thing about XYZ Construction.'

Did your five month tenure cost you some points or a higher interest?

If you show job changes, that's an opportunity for them to give you a royal screwing.

I'm not sure yet. I'm going to use a VA loan, I think I can get a better rate and not have to get PMI even at 0 down vs. a FHA or conventional loan.

If I were you, I wouldn't live in that house, with the carpets and all. You need to be looking at hardwood floors. :D
