The last time a guy with this last name was in charge of anything in Kansas, a lot of Missourians had their homes burned down and they were hanged from the tree in their front yard.

Please tell me his campaign workers are called "Jennison's Jayhawkers"...that would be so cool to my Civil Woah buff brain.:D

Charles R. Jennison - Commanded the 7th Kansas Cavalry Regiment, USA, "Jennison's Jayhawkers" composed mostly of thugs and cutthroats. Jennison used the Civil War to settle old scores left over from the fierce pre-war border fighting. Thievery, rape, plunder and murder were passed off to the Kansans and Federal Government as patriotic strikes against pro-South elements in western Missouri. We do know Jennison came out of the Civil War a very wealthy man.

Well, let us not forget that model citizen, Quantrill (CSA, or so HE said.)

You contradict yourself, sir.
A Quantrill decendent I can vote for or Mosby even...
Are there any Browns running in West Virginie?

Quantrill was an Ohion by birth and raising. Just saying. he's buried in the Confederate cemetery in Higginsville Mo. I've seen his grave.

Man, I figured that being Missouri was bad enough news for Missouri.

Missouri being Texas would be real, real bad news.

Yeah, 'cause it would mean that my favorite getaway destination would be in MISSOURI.

Mizzou-KU is a pretty underrated sports rivalry, IMHO. there's buckets of hate to go around 365/24/7.

i guess the problem is it rarely doesn't mean much nationally. unless you go back to Big 8 hoops in the late 80's/early 90's.

but those people hate each other. I, mahself, prefer Quantrill to Jennison.
