Alligator Sighting In Broken Arrow

KOTV - 7/27/2006 12:51 PM - Updated: 7/27/2006 1:46 PM

Three reports of an alligator sighting at a retention pond have Broken Arrow Police warning residents to stay away from the pond.

State wildlife officials have confirmed alligator tracks in the area near the pond in the 800 block of West Fargo.

One resident reported that the alligator exited the pond, approached him and hissed at him. Signs have been posted around the pond warning of the danger.

The alligator is believed to be approximately 4 feet in length.
Broken Arrow Police are advising area residents to be cautious with young children and pets in the area surrounding the pond.

Hills, trees, AND an alligator.

I think a penquin leaves tracks about like a gator. Could be an honest mistake.

Dude, have you seen March of the Penguins? That part where the penguin ate that one dude was awful. At least alligators don't have giant robot brains and they can't suddenly render themselves invisible.

Actually... that might have been an acid trip I was having.

I don't know who you been talking to, but I'm telling you now... the little ****tease lied about her species. It was late, I'd been drinking Anheuser Busch™ products, she was black and white. It happens.

Was this over-grown lizard "introduced," or did the basterd swim up the Arkansas River?

I guess someone will have to ask him.

That is awesome.

I just might have to move to Tulsa.

Didn't you guys have mountain lion sightings in B.A. earlier this year?

Shamu=Czar. None of you fuggers are this clever.

Btw, down here in da South, we ski and kneeboard over these bastards on a regular basis. Just don't get thrown off your board near a nest or near shore.

My aunt and uncle used to take me and my brother down to the Creole Nature Trail in SW LA near Holly Beach. Back in the day, we could toss chicken backs to the gators and watch them jump for them. Good times!:D
