Didn't know that. I would say that definately gives ammo to the Tulsa is better argument. Paul Harvey and the Gap band is hard to argue with.

Don't forget the 1921 Tulsa Riot. Still the most deadly in modern American history. Only eclipsed by the NYC draft riot of 1863.

His father was a Sherrif (or deputy, can't remember) in some Oklahoma county and was killed in the line of duty.

Plus apparently hills and trees.(Although being from Nebraska, I find hills and trees to be highly overrated)

Just because you've never seen them doesn't mean they're overrated. :texan:

If you're of the same persuasion as Lance Bass, I suppose that might be true.

I've seen'em. Hell, Omaha has hills and trees. I'm just not impressed by anything that makes farming a piece of land more difficult. Sure, trees are useful, but they don't make you special.

My research indicates Steve Largent, like Garth Brooks and Blake Edwards (Pink Panther creator)was born in Tulsa.

From his website:
Steve was born on September 28, 1954, in Tulsa. He graduated from Putnam City High School in Oklahoma City and received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Tulsa.

BTW, did you know Dr Phil, (born in Vinita) went to TU on a football scholarship but got hurt and studied psychology instead?

Garth grew up in Yukon. He was there when we lived there. You can have him though.

Steve Largent went through the PC school system an graduated form there. I have little league pictures. So born in Tulsa, raised in OKC.

And add Bob Shirley to the list. We have him in pictures too.

I was up watching TV in the middle of the frockling night last night and saw that there's a Hee Haw marathon on CMT this weekend. Showing all the best episodes.

I may seriously record this.

:les: YEE HAW!!!
