Pronghorns are very beautiful animals but they are my arch nemisis. This one was walking down the middle of the highway & I had to slow to a crawl & actually honk the horn before it moved. My camera was packed so I was a little late in getting the money shot.

Sundown in the Texas Panhandle. It's really a awesome specticle. Notice there's not a thing except for sage brush for miles.

I took this shot on my way back from seeing oumartin. The rig is down at the end of the second dirt road. Actually this location was easy to get to compared to others.

Tripped out and waiting. This was during our casing break. I was suppose to last 30 hrs.--it ended up being 3 days.

Almost show time. I had just gotten out of a 4 hr. training meeting & immediately changed into my monkey suit. BP has strict guidelines for personal protection equipment (PPE).

Boy does this bring back memories.
We used to own part of a casing company - before July 5th, 1982.
We would send out the crews and equipment to run the casing pipe. I had to get home from work so the phones could be forwarded to the house and the hubby come home. Many a holiday spent at home, in case we had to send out crews.
I have been to many of the well sites in southwestern OK. <sigh> Maybe I should have said nightmares.

Gloves were in my back pocket & since I wear glasses I've got the full mask goggles. They're hanging around my neck.

Dang, that pic makes my look fatter than I really am. The coveralls are a 52 (the only size they had at the time--the 44's weren't gonna cut it.)

No, thank goodness. So far in the year I've been out here I haven't been on a well that's hit any. We do have a plan though; run like hell upwind! :D

You are not "that" large.never, under any circumstances, say that to another man in a public forum. absolutely nothing good can come of it.
