I've never really been truly motivated to quit before....this is just a little bit different...a kid is worth a little more than stupid ciggys.


but if it doesn't work, I've always smoked in our closed-in porch, so it won't be much of an adjustment....

Well good for you. A bit of unsolicited advice. Pick a date a couple weeks from now. Smoke the last one you'll ever smoke around midnight the night before. Go to bed. When you wake-up slap on one of those nicotine patches. That system really worked for moi. In a month you'll be ciggy and nicotine free.

Don't feel obligated to know if it's a boy or girl ahead of time.

We refused to know for both of ours until birth and it was one of the great surprises of our lives. It just takes a little self discipline and it actually becomes fun when everyone else wants to know and you cant tell them.
