Anyone else catch the game last night? I was at the stadium and was pretty dissappointed with the result. The Dyanmo pretty much dominated play. De Rosario was very dynamic in midfield and Ching created lots of difficulty for the Revolution defense.

Unfortunately, the performance of the center referee (Michael Kennedy) was a digraceful abomination. He failed to award 3 clear penalties. 1st half DeRosario is held as he beats the defender and then shoved off the ball as he fights thru the hold and tries to get a shot. Rev GK plows thru the back of Ching before getting anywhere near the ball. 2nd half sends off Dynamo player Barret for a simple foul. Barret takles for the ball and misses and the Rev player trips over Barrets leg. There was no contact by Barret directly on the Rev player. Then the coup de gras Ching plays the ball cleanly by the defender in the PA and is charged in the chest to prevent getting to the ball for the third clear penalty. Of course uncalled by the little leprechaun referee.

Houston played NE off the pitch and ended up with a single point to show for it instead of the three they deserved.

I think the ref must have some friends in Italy who had an interest in the result of this match. Either that or he goes to the same training school that the TTech refs attended. On the other hand maybe he just could not see the play because everyones kneecaps kept blocking his view.

What a joke. The guy is a FIFA ref and the US wonders why no US refs were selected as primary officials at the world cup.
