watching the news crews trying to fill up air time with nothing to go on.....they ask some of the dumbest questions

wfaa has a reporter on the highway, about a mile away from where the truck is stop, some truck driver stops to "watch".....so he gets interviewed on tv

reporter: "how do you want to see this end tonite?"

i realize they have to just make up stuff on the fly in these protracted situations.....its just funny to hear

earlier today, the suspect - a black male - carjacks a man with a lexus just a mile from my house.......heads north and wrecks the car, flipping it over

a man in a different car stops to ask if he needs help, and gets a gun in his face, takes his car and heads to denton, and then mckinney where he truckjacks this woman driving an 18 wheeler

she drives on two front rims thru 3 counties, out west of fort worth where DPS shoots out the remaining tires, the engine block and the fuel tanks

the man spoke on the phone with a channel 8 reporter and spoke of inequalities for the black man....so this is about race, at least from his perspective

now he has taken the woman into the back of the cab (the sleeper i assume??)

i cant imagine a bigger nightmare for an entry team, having to step upward to the door, in a very confined space

this is not a good situation....too bad they didnt have a sniper take out the man while he was sitting in the cab with his weapon pointed at the driver

this has been a low speed chase, about 35 mph......while watching, it was obvious that the bad guy would, from time to time, dip back behind the curtains out of camera sight from the helo's....

if i'm the driver, i'm gonna pop the door open and tumble to the ground....granted i'm going to get eaten up by pavement but its damn sure better than being shot by some lunatic or the police

she has 2 dogs with her, they're walking around the front of the cab and now the police are firing tear gas into the cab

i'd be shocked if this guy doesnt kill himself

the tear gas worked, the bad guy comes out of the truck and sits down....giving up

he's now in custody, unharmed

great superb effort by the dallas swat team and hostage negotiators

a dead bad guy (couple bullets) is much cheaper then prosecution

well, he didnt commit a capital offense, and the death penalty is saved for that only

truly without a trial, we're making assumptions on whats going on with him
