That's why I need info.....it's either that or the Jeep Commander.

Plus the H3 is like the Beetle or Miata of its line, if you know what I'm sayin'.http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d167/bushtit/smilies/phag.gif

I think I like the H3 better than the Commander.

Would you like my color recommendation too? :D

H3 is underpowered, so I hear.
Next year's model has a bit bigger engine.

Yea, I'm interested in the larger type SUV. I do lots of 4 wheeling/off road stuff and currently have a Grand Cherokee but I still want more room so I'm looking at the Commander but I don't know if Jeep still has the same quality as they used too.

So do people really think Hummers are ghey?

So do people really think Hummers are ghey? No, but I think a lot think the H3 is ghey. It's like, people don't think Ford trucks are ghey, but remember the Ranger "Splash"? :D

So do people really think Hummers are a method of compensating for something?

Absolutely.

Why not just look at the H2?

Why do you people insist on buying these Earth-raping gas guzzlers? ;)

Seriously though, I've spent a lot of time in military "hummers" in desert, forest and mountains. I would not want to own one myself. They're just plain ugly, awkward on pavement and not particularly reliable.

Now, if you plan to use one to get up to your compound at the top of the Craggy Mountains across Dangerous Stream via 70 miles of Crappy Trail and you can afford all the required maintenance...by all means. Buy a Hummer.

Anyway, "to each his own"...the aggie said as he kissed the sheep.

Homey, Iv'e owned some type of Jeep since 1980 to do just that (drive up craggy mountain trails) - CJ-7, Wagoneer, Cherokee Sport, Grand Cherokee Laredo. There wasn't any additional maintenance required. I was just wondering about the H3.

3.5l I-5 w/ 220 hp/225 lb-ft in a 4700 lb. vehicle. No thanks.

I'd be more concerned with torque than horsepower in something like a Hummer. and 225 lb-ft is also very low. I'd want more like 400.
