A good friends uncle was on this, he's one of the survivors. He's critical, but stable. I was getting on a plane when he called and told me this news.

CRESCO, Iowa Federal aviation officials are in northeast Iowa looking for the cause of yesterday's plane crash near Cresco that killed two pilots and injured two others, all from Mississippi.

The crash happened near the city's airport around eleven a-m.

The Howard County sheriff's office says pilots Clyde Lewis and William Eisner, both of Jackson, Mississippi, were killed.

Passengers Robert Paulk and Johnny Fayard, of Gulfport, Mississippi, were injured. They were taken to the hospital in Cresco, then transferred to hospitals in Rochester, Minnesota, and La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The F-A-A says the flight originated in Oxford, Mississippi, and was headed to Rochester, Minnesota.

Howard County Chief Deputy Mike Miner says witnesses say the plane overshot the runway and ended up in a cornfield. Thunderstorms were moving through the area at the time.
