They are playing one of the Council Bluffs Casinos. I'm just glad to see that a band can parlay one song I kind of remember into a life long career. There really should be a statute of limitations on this sort of thing.

Which one is the song you remember?

The one that sounds like all the other crappy bands of that time. I don't have a real specific memory of it.

toad the wet sprocket is a good band that had more than one hit.

they actually broke up several years ago (it was significant enough to be a clue on jeopardy)

glenn phillips then had a brief solo career and now they must have reformed.

i heart toad.

Fall Down?
All I Want?

All I know is that I have much more fond memories of Hootie and the Blowfish and Better than Ezra.

I'm a Toad fan, but yeah they are kind of a happy nonoffensive pop/rock band. But hey, sometimes you're in the mood for that, and they have some catchy tunes.

I saw them at the Memorial Union back in the early 90's. Great show. Some 17 year old chick was rubbing against me in an inappropriate way. Or maybe it was the other way around.

Exactly. Good Lord. I no longer feel bad about the thread I started in the sponsor forum.

;)

And Glenn Phillips is still putting out some solo albums isn't he?

Fly from heaven is the song I figured you were talking about.

Maybe Good Intentions.

My wife had just gotten a Toad CD when we first started dating back in 95. I have good memories of that group.

I saw them at the Union, I think back in 92 or 93. One of the dudes/roadies let us walk up 10 feet away from them, while they were performing and it was cool.

Dulcinea is really good - a lot of good music.

If they are so great, why are they playing the Harrah's in Council Bluffs, Iowa?
