How people my age can be so d@mn ignorant and selfish. I was making up excuses all day to walk over to the vietnamese place down the road (I've had too many eggrolls now, so I have to work out extra) just so I could watch the news a little bit.

The other people who work with me... all day, I heard nothing about the middle eastern stuff. But I heard a lot of b**ching about cigarette burns in their carpet, or some issue with a roomate. When I brought it up with a couple of them, their reaction went pretty much as follows:

I guess I might be the only loser kid who worries about this sort of thing, or takes time away from my little world to consider the things in the big world. I just dont understand how people would not care enough.

I bartend at a water park during the summer and I get plenty of ripe old adults who are completely ignorant too. All most of them talk about is how come the margaritas don't have tequila in 'em (Abel Commission), how come we don't serve Kers (also known as Coors, Anheuser-Busch contract), and why the park charges $10 for parking (you showed up and parked, didn't you, dickhole?). Young people don't have a monopoly on ignorance and stupidity.
