I picked up a couple on my way through Rush Springs last weekend. I brought one to work today and the peeps are going nuts over it. Nuts I say.

Bestest watermelon in the world the black diamond is.

Rush Springs is the Bomb...isn't it about time for the festival?

So, you pick up a watermelon, then a hitchhiker. Did you stop in Ryan or Bowie and pick up some chicken and cheese crispito's?

I wish I were back in OK right now. Rush has the BEST watermelons in the world.

Outside of the festival, Rush is most definitely not the bomb... unless you're referring to the meth labs exploding.

The Watermelon Festival is the second Saturday in August.

Is there a good place to stop in Ryan or Bowie? If it's time for the feed bag and I'm in that area I usually stop at Doug's Peach Orchard for some catfish.

I'm talking about gas station food. You know, the food in those metal/glass heaters? The Allsups in Bowie and the only gas station in Ryan both carry the classic gas station burritos, crispitos, and potato logs. Mmmmmmmm.....

Are you coming from Norman or OKC back to FW? If so, why not take 35 instead of 81? I'm assuming Chickasha or some place south of the City...

There aren't as many hitchikers on I-35.

Indeed. I've known people that took 81 when they were heading to the City from FW, b/c they said it was 20 miles or so less. I tried explaining the rationale of Interstate mileage vs. 81 mileage, but I only got dead stares.

Next time you're going through Duncan, go to El Palacio off of Bois D'Arc and 81 (East about 1 mile on Bois D'Arc). The best chille relleno's you'll ever have.

Well, I mean the watermelons are the bomb.

That and my old Aunties that live there.

Are they thebomb.com, though?
