Heat index in C-U is 99 right now, but air temp is only 88. It sucks, but doesn't feel like 99 to me. I'd still take this over the 108.

damn...for once I wish I was near urbana-champaign....we've got 93 as the current temp with 106 heat index. I've been in 106 degree weather in norman before, and I like the 106 down there than a heat index of 106 here. I walk outside and get all schweaty.

And yet you're still the only place in Oklahoma under an extreme heat warning. :D

Y'all quit your ****ing whining.
I changed a water pump on a jeep in an asphalt parking lot in Phoenix when it was 122. Sky Harbor airport was shut down. I drank a quart (yes, back then stuff was measured in American units) of Gatorade without stopping when I was done. And then ****ed powder.

That's cause the NWS is more concerned about us up here in the cultural capital than the rest of the state.;)

Being the cultural capitol of Oklahoma is kind of like being the beer capitol of Saudi Arabia, isn't it?

wazoo = pee hole. Its a medical term. You can look it up. Its from the latin.

You're right. Physician's desk reference says:
flex your abdominal muscles to get more oomph from your old wazoo

No, but I once drank so much gatorade that it literally dripped out of my ***.

They are saying the real feel here (NYC) is 98, but I find that hard to believe with the heat coming off of all the concrete! That's the thing that really sucks here in the summer. You have NO Chance for a cool down after a day like this at night as the heat is released after the sun goes down.

Whenever I think of hot and NYC, I think of MMMMmookie schlepping pizza's in Bed-Stuy for Sal's Famous.

I heard a guy today say that his in-ground pool this weekend got to 91 degrees.
Another guy asked him if he had a fountain...
He said he used to and that he has no shade in his yard so it gets hot.
I can't imagine swimming in bath water.
I think I'd have a 300 lb block of ice delivered to my house on Friday.

One marching band season my two roommates and I bought a giant container of the Gatorade powder - grape flavored. I shat purple for days.
