I was wondering if anyone has a good method of coverting VHS to DVD's?
I've got OU's entire 99,00,01,02,03,04 & 05 seasons on VHS. Alot of tape!(Only a few games wern't televised..Baylor..etc)

Anyway, I would be willing to part with all the games if I could figure out a good way to get a few key games on DVD. Say the 2000 Oct games & misc.

Thanks for any help.

Buy a Sony RDRvx515 DVD VHS recorder. (around 300-350.00) It is GREAT and easy to use. Thats the easiest and best solution.
Good Luck.

ive got a all in wonder video card so i could do it
but the best option for you would probably be just to buy some kind of dvd recorder with a vhs part

I originally wanted to drop them into my computer, edit out the commercials, compress them into divx. But that would take FOREVER!. My Dazzle kept crashing. heh, They'll probably just end up in a garage sale. Oh well..

I'm in the same boat, man. I taped every football game while I was in the band from '99 to '04. I got a DVD/VCR recorder for Christmas and planned on converting all my tapes, but it just takes forever. I haven't hardly touched them (and I've had all summer to be doing it...) I wish there was a way to record onto the DVD at a faster speed than real time! Good luck!

My solution was to go to Wally Mart & buy a cheap ($98) DVD recorder & input my VCR into it. Oh sure, you gotta push two buttons at the same time, but I'm cheap. :D

I'm going to end up buying a DVD recorder with a built in 160gig HD for the games this year. It works like a Tivo. The advantages are: no subscription fees & it will record to DVD in file mode, not real time.

My panasonic with hard drive works great. I've converted almost my entire collection. It does take time though. The quality you end up with depends on the quality of the source tape. If you recorded in EP (SLP) mode, the quality of the DVD recording will be noticeably lower. also, the quality of the VCR you're using as a source will make a difference. I have a Toshiba with SQPB (Super quality play back) that really does a good job, but I've worn it out converting all of my tapes.
