It all comes down to this:

Last season, AD was injured. But people don't see that - they see a mere 1,000 yd season. :rolleyes:

Just wait. Halfway through the season at the latest, a poll like that would yield different results.

Still, aside from the ND QB loving conspiracy, a 3,000+ yard TO QB usually takes a little more respect than a good running back. Right now people see two things... 55-19 and OU 2005. Hopefully the voters see AD uninjured (if unijured is a word) and full-throttle in 2006, he'll bank like some of the great runnign backs of recent times...

so what's the excuse for the state of texas?

AmfD runs for 1100+ yards in two seasons against the state of texas, yet quinn is leading in the poll.

If he stays healthy and has a year like his freshman season, he will have to be considered one of the pure talents (on a level with J. Brown, O. Simpson, B. Sanders, B. Simms, E. Campbell, R. Williams, G. Sayers...those guys) to ever play the RB position in college.

It would be an absolute shame to see him lose the Heisman to a hype machine. I hope he runs for 2500 yards and receives for another 1000--just to absolutely crush everyone.

It would be really sweet to him just blow up in 2006 since people act all like he doesn't exist and he didn't rush for freakin' 1925 as a TrFr...
