If any of y'all commute to downtown Dallas, would you please say from where, and about how long it takes? Also, are you using a major interstate or back roads.

From 635, south down 75 takes about 30 minutes. Down the tollway from the same area takes about 20 minutes.

Totally depends on what time of day. Mrs Howzit commutes from Flower Mound to downtown and it's 45-50 minutes, but she doesn't leave until about 8:30.

She takes 114 to I-35. There are no "back road" options.

Oh, and going Flower Mound to downtown you're not goint to beat 30 minutes no matter what time of day.

Slick, I used to drive from East Plano to the area around Baylor in 30 minutes by driving down Garland Road. It was at 7 AM. If I left at 7:10, it was 45 minutes. Seriously.

And there are limited back roads. My husband used to drive Royal Lane rather than take 635 (between 75 and 35). He swore it was faster. Meh.

You need to drive it at the correct time of day.

I drove from Carrollton to the VA hospital the other morning, left at 645am and got there in 30 minutes.....35 gets busier around 730 i think
