View Full Version : Got Wrote Up Yesterday At Work
for "excess personal usage of the internet on company time" ... my boss also said that i was "batching up" my work before doing it ... he proceeded in stating that there have been customer complaints about the phone system and how the messages wouldn't work etc etc (because apparently i work for the phone company :confused: ) ... i told him straight up that i did NOT let my work batch up and that i was helping someone out which is why my work got a little behind (that i caught up with the day i finished helping that other person) ... he said "I have you user account on my computer so I can see what you're doing, and when I have the chance I'm a pretty good spy" ... i almost punched him in the face for that one ... but apparently he can get paid to sit there and spy on people and not do a damn thing himself ... personally i just think he's ****ed off because he block CockyTalk and Myspace and i found a way around it ... not as of a dumb :chicken: as some may think

Pfffft! I can't even use the internet for personal stuff at work - no shopping, no S.O., no ESPN or SI. I can get the local newspaper and station links.......
I am usually too busy anyway - I just wait until I get home. But I love having summer off.

I am the weather Nazi at school - if there is an Ozone Warning, temp too hot or too cold, I get to tell the teachers they have to have indoor recess.
I am very popular. :O
And I also research medications and medical conditions that I need more info about. I know some stuff, but not everything. :D

Piffle! Recess should be inviolable save lightning storms. I'm not even out of college and even in my day, we used to go out with the wind chill in the teens, or the temp in the 100s, showers, snow, whatever. (On questionable days, we decided via - gasp - actually asking the kids what they wanted!) It's good for ya! I'm sure your school/district is just worried about liability, which is unfortunate, but a skinned knee during recess football means your kid is probably at least a little bit healthy and tenacious, two excellent traits sorely lacking in elementary school today...[/rant]

Phil, you have no idea. Our district is full of lawsuit happy parents. And we are talking stupid stuff.
By 11:30 in the morning, it is usually too hot for the kids to go out, per guidelines. And honestly, most of the kids are not heat acclimated anymore.

About the only site that gets blocked here (other than pr0n sites) is Putfile...When I try to go there I get this:
