Why do you need the letter in order to quit?

I live by this: If it's not in writing, it's bull****.

because it might not show up. never quit a job until you have another one.

Partularly after the fence debacle. If I don't have it in writing, it's just
hearsay.

Kinda like women. They never let go of one branch until they have a hold of another.

But if you're moving to Dallas you're going to have to quit regardless, right?

They'll respect you more if you tell 'em to **** off without having another job to go to. :texan:

Why is that? Don't 99% of non-retiring people that quit a job go to another one?

It's easy to tell you boss to **** off when you've got another job in your back pocket already. It takes real balls to do it when you don't. :D

Yeah, but when you have a wife and a kid, it's a different story.

True. I thought you were talking about just quitting.

Slick, I think you should give no notice. Don't even tell them that you quit. Just don't show up and see how long they continue to pay you.

i had a bad DHL experience a couple weeks ago with a father's day gift. jus' saying.

will not use DHL again, knowingly. 9 days/7 business days does not equal prioirity from Denver to Norman. a letter is 2 days.

and i myself will have a new job in January 2007. pretty happy about it.

Considering that Fedex dropped off at 10, and UPS at 11, yes. :D

the dhl yellow freaks me out. for that reason alone, they suck.

slickdawg

They hack me off because they WILL NOT leave anything at my house,
and won't even offer the signature release form. Either you are there
to get it, or you don't get it. That succs, especially when its critical computer parts.
