View Full Version : As a kid, who were you in love with?

I ask because when I stopped by my mom's house last weekend I saw that my mom has kept a Miss Piggy muppet doll thing I got for Christmas one year.

My mom brought it out and was making fun of me.

I had forgotten how maddly in love with her I was. She was my girlfriend. She still kinda turns me on.

I always admired the wit and wisdom of Jan Brady, although her hotness was suspect. Marsha with those head jerks, and that long tussel of shimmering blond hair moving away from her eyes, was vintage 70's and just...cool.

But Susan Day from The Partridge Family was the shizznit. She always had a common sense demeanor about her, whether it was singing in unison on stage at a flea market, or engaging in barbs with the smart-alecky Danny.

Gawd, I can't believe I just wrote that.

Did you ever consider the benefits of polygamy?

Dude, I cannot lie. I was f'n girl crazy as a child. I don't know why, but I never feared the cootie.

As a child, one of my best friends was the girl across the street. In the summer we'd meet up at the lightpole in the middle of the street and organize the rest of the kids on the block into games of Kick the Can, Four square, etc. We never dated when we were older, but those summer nights before we knew what sex was were golden times that are stuck in my memory as much as the memory of TRRW flying over Brett Robin and crushing Chris Simms in the 2001 Red River War.

Also, Nancy McKeon...for sure. For some reason, non-blondes always were my thing.

My HS Senior Year History teacher (Cum baseball coach, boys' faxolife mentor, etc, and good friend) played on the same Sul Ross U. Football Teams as Hoss.
Seems the coach insisted on coat and tie when they traveled, and Hoss NEVAR had a tie. According to Mr/Coach Dawson, Hoss owed his teammates one tie for every away game they played during those years. Coach D. swore Hoss ate 'em.

Actually, when Jm J Bullock was on Too Close for Comfort, I thought he was pretty cute. Of course, I was only 6 and didn't recognize his feminine attributes.
