I have an Xbox and I am thinking about upgrading to the Xbox360. Do you need an high definition tv to really utilize all the capabilities of an Xbox360 or will it still be an upgrade from the Xbox without a high definition tv? I guess I'm asking is the Xbox360 worth it?

PS3 will probably look better and have more games, but it will also cost 8 brazillion dollars. If you don't mind the initial investment, then the PS3 will be fine. If you do mind the initial investment and only want the system for Halo and Madden, then the XBox is your friend.

Most of those are cross-platform. As far as video games go, I think you'd need an HDTV to take advantage of the 360. I don't know for sure, but I imagine that some of the 360 games aren't even programmed for lower resolutions.

As far as RPG's go, all Final Fantasy games will be PS3 I believe. Some of the screenshots I've seen of FF13 look mind-blowing.
