I have decided our National Anthem should be sung in the key of G

That's definitely a tune you don't want to start too low or too high. Unless it's fun to watch others struggle with it.

I love the National Anthem as sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. They sing, I believe it's the 2nd verse, which I prefer even to the one we commonly sing.

Definitely listen to it if you never have.

Actually it's the 4th and final verse. I've only heard the 1st and then the 4th verse. Here's the entire thing. Like I said, I love that 4th verse..
