So I gave in and got a laptop for a desktop replacement. It's a Dell so it's currently reloading windows after I killed the 7 bajillion partitions on it. 17" widescreen lcd's monitors are very nice.

Did you get the extended service agreement?
Mine runs hot and I've had to replace a lot of parts over the last 18 months.
But I do love it.
