My grandad wants me to have a friend of mine play 'Going Home' or 'Coming Home' at his funeral. It was played at Winston Churchill's funeral and I'm having trouble finding the exact song much less piano music or guitar tabs for it.

My granddad also wants him to play 'I'll never Cross Jordan' an old hymn. I haven't tried Googling that one yet.

Thanks in advance

I think so. I found that one on a Johnny Cash album online.

I can't find the Going Home song.

"Going Home" are the words set to the music in Dvorak's 9th Symphony, the 2nd movement.

Dvorak probably didn't write a piece in there for the ole 6 string did he?

This guy can play a prett mean piano but that probably won't work either. Looks like I'll have to get a CD and just play that.

Thanks a few hundred!!

Yeah, its pretty sustained to be doing with guitar anyway, wasn't able to find any version of it with guitar that didn't also require piano and voice.

Glad I could help.

The funeral procession continued on from St. Paul's to Tower Pier as the massed pipers played the slow march, My Home, the pipe bands struck up The Flowers of the Forest, the chill wind from the river whipped at the Spencer-Churchill banner borne in procession in front of the gun carriage and four Lightnings from Fighter Command dipped overhead in a sudden salute from the skies.
