Do you like your FN FAL? I've heard they jam easily and are pretty heavy. A friend of mine picked up a H&K G3 and swears by it.

Maybe I'll post a pic of my AK-74 & Mini-14.

Do you like your FN FAL? I've heard they jam easily and are pretty heavy. A friend of mine picked up a H&K G3 and swears by it.

Maybe I'll post a pic of my AK-74 & Mini-14.

They're about 12 pounds, but they don't jam. Maybe 2 or 3 jams in the 6 years I've owned these? The black one has never jammed. They actually have a good rep for reliability, however sand is their achillies' heal.

Yes, dad just bought a thousand rounds of it.

Got some more from Brigadoons in Midwest City for $28.00/140.

That place reminds me of the surplus store in the movie Falling Down. I asked them if they had any INERT rifle grenades and the dude freaked out...lol.

They had a good size pallet when I was there last week. They also sell it by the case.

From what I saw, it was all SA. I think SA is the only surplus widely available right now. If that runs dry, I'll need to get into reloading because I can't afford .50 cents every time I pull the trigger.

BTW- I heard a very bad rumor that Sportsmen's Warehouse is closing.

Jeez - that didn't take long. I like it better than Bass Pro too.

Well.....it is a rumor that BassPro bought them and is going to shut them down. That really sucks because BassPro doesn't sell any politcally incorrect guns. Sportsmen's also has a huge selection of reloading supplies. It's also 3 miles from my house.

And for a double whammy: Academy has replaced their Q3131 5.56 nato Winchestor with their own "store brand" sh*t from Serbia. The white box winchester ammo was going for 3 bucks for a 20 round box of good stuff. Now I need another source for AR-15 food.

I shot 20 rounds of that Serbian stuff through my FAL (.308 of course) and I had to sandblast the gunk out of it. It's dirty stuff that just fouls the weapon....smells like horse pi$s too.

I don't keep guns in the house (well just an old squirrel shooter) 'cuz I'm skeered Mrs TU will blast my liver out, either accidentally or on purpose. But next time I'm up there, ya gotta take me out shootin the good stuff. I'll bring my own CDs. ;)
