I just got this new laptop & it's got a IEEE 1394 port (firewire). From what I've read all I've got to do is plug in my DV cam to it for capturing. I don't have a Firewire-to-Firewire cable yet so I haven't tried it. Is that it? Do I have to have any other fancy gizmos attached? I've got Ulead 7.0 video editor & MS Movie Maker installed.
I'm use to my desktop that's got an ATI All-In-Wonder 256MB with TV/capture capabilities, but I'm new to the laptops & firewire.
