A good friend of mine and I try to stump each other on college trivia and he got me today on an OU football question. That was embarrassing.

The question was:
How many consecutive OU games have been televised to date? Or better put, how long has it been since OU had an untelevised game?

Know the answer? please post it.

I think it was 2004 at Baylor...

I recall watching the 2004 Baylor game on Fox Sports I think. I know it was televised since I watched it in a hotel room in Austin.

Was it that Fresno State game in Norman a few years back? Or did ABC televise that one?

I think @ Baylor in 2002 with NO television at all.

That is if PPV counts.

I remember watching the Fresno State game via pay-per-view with a Dean Blevins and a Mr. Random McTreywingo-ish doing the coverage. The last game that I can even think of that wasn't on tv (pay per view or otherwise) was the 99 Texas Tech game. That was also the last time I was seen screaming at a radio by other drivers as well as a few pedestrians.

Baylor in 2000 and 2002 weren't televised

'99 Tech was televised. My TV paid for what it was showing me dearly.

The first game I thought of was Baylor, but I was thinking 03 for some reason.

I think that I agree with Snrfn4ever08. However, I thought that It was a non-conference game.

Going to have to go with 2002 Baylor - I remember I had to listen to that one on the radio.

and it always seems like abc finds a way to lose the signal during the first quarter of the texas game

for some reason i remember listening to that one in my mom's car driving down the road. i think i would've been at home watching it if it was on t.v. i might be thinking about another year though. my mind's really drawing a blank

It's strange the stuff you remember sometimes- I specifically remember raking leaves with the kids because the Baylor game wasn't on TV. If the game was here, I would have been there, and I went to the game at Baylor in '04, so it would have had to have been '02.

Went to the Baylor game in '02. Met Dean and some others. I don't remember it being televised.

However, afterward we watched tOSU barely, and I mean barely, beat Illinois in overtime in a game they should have lost to save their season.

tOSU had to save their season like 16 times that year.

that TD pass on 4th and 1 sticks out to me... i can't remember if that was Purdue or Michigan but i think they trailed almost all the way through both games

I'm almost positive that the 2003 OU-Baylor game was a 1:00 kickoff, with the only TV being either PPV or tape delay.

Yeah, I think they rebroadcast that on a Cox Channel later that night, but did not show it live.

the 99 Tech game was on in Denver, I watched it. the INT Heupel throws right before the half at about the Tech 40 changed the tone of the game.....we even kick a FG there and i think we cruise.

I think I remember hearing Castiglione say that we've had 49 straight games broadcasted on the Tulsa station a few weeks ago.
