the Mrs and I will be in OKC next week. I have bidness in the area and we thought we would take in the sights as we rarely get to visit without Mrs. THA's family around. It will be our anniversary next week and I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a NICE place for a meal? I would be looking for a great place with a great chef and wine cellar.

TIA...

EDIT:

Anyone know anything about Nikz at the Top (Founder's Tower)? Good, not Good?

The Coach House?

I hear good things about Nona's in Bricktown, never been though.

I'm partial to Pearl's there in OKC if you can find one. It's Cajun food that I enjoy every trip back to Okie.

Boulevard Steak House in Edmond is good too, but quite spensive, My rich buddy was going on and on about Mahogany

Nikz is good. The view is better than the food, but its still a nice 'special occasion' restaurant.

Coach House is good eats. Kurt always does a great job.

Others: Deep Fork on Western @ I-44 or Ranch Steakhouse on Britton Rd

Thanks for all the help. Looking at the wine list, Coach House looks very nice. Too bad the menu is 2005, but still looks tastey.

Made reservations at Cheevers and Coach House.

Deep Fork sounds good as well. At least I have already scored with the Mrs. on looking up and making reservations!

Have to move out of OKC to "explore" it. Staying at the Renaissance next week...

You can thank me for that $.03 increase in your gasoline bill next week! ;)

Don't waste your time with Cheevers. How can someone who hits such a home run (Iron Starr) also strike out so hard?

Nona's
Boulevard
Cascata (I would say best wine list in OKC?)
Deep Fork

I have been meaning to try Mahogany. We went to North Fork this weekend, and it was good, but I wish we had hit Mahogany instead.

I highly recommend Nonna's. It's a place you go to impress out-of-towners and score a great meal.

there's a good Indian restaurant on N. May (i think, it's practically in Edmond) called Gophorum or something like that.

Mahogany = greatness. Also, the bill = not so greatness, but worth it.

A hidden gem = Tom and Jerry's Steak and Fish Grille on 23rd just west of Classen. Yeah, it's in an old Captain D's, but you would never know it, and the food is excellent. Definitely fine dining.

YOU try to explain to the Mrs. that in order to keep gas cheap, I'm taking you to KFC for your anniversary! Nah, I'd rather jack up gas prices...:D

I had heard about Tom and Jerry's, then we drove by it and I was like "seriously, it's a captain d's?" I'll have to check it out. How is the price?
