Not sure. I work with a lady that was married to Waynes brother. She talked to Waynes wife but didnt get a specific date.

I've heard the same from various people who should be in the know, so there's probably truth to it. If so, awesome.

I wouldn't mind seeing the lips in concert. I've heard they put on an awesome show. Of course it'll probably be when I'm in Cali.

There's a lot of rumors about them hitting us up in the fall.

And a rumor that Deerhoof (http://www.myspace.com/deerhoof) will be one of their openers.

Anyone who "wouldn't mind" seeing them in concert probably doesn't deserve to be there.

By the way, whoever it is that doesn't rate any other threads, but feels compelled to put a single star on any thread that mentions the Lips, is a sad, petty, misguided person who probably tortures puppies and kittens, steals children's candy, and doesn't flush in public restrooms.

Just sayin'.

If'n I could rate this thread I would give it a 10 a ****in' 10!

I rated it 5 stars and I hope it helped. I'd enjoy the concert even if I'm an old guy. I'd like to hear more of their songs from 'The Soft Bulletin' album 'cause I like it somewhat more than their latest.

I'm thinking about maybe liking to see this band, because all the cool and popular posters like them. If I say I'm going to go see them, then perhaps people will pay attention to me in a positive manner, which would make me happy. Because I enjoy it when people pay attention to me.

Hi, over here, look at MEEEEEEEE!

In! 'cause I wanna be cool too! and that's really the only reason I originally posted in this thread other than the small factor of really liking their music and from what I've seen of their concerts on cable they look like they're alot of fun! (and I wanted to give this thread more Stars.) :D

The date has been announced: Friday Sept. 15.

Now maybe the cool kids will let me eat lunch at their table. ;)

I was really excited to buy my tickets until I saw the $8.50 service charge per ticket. That's 56% of the ticket price.

still a bargain by today's standards. i had a shot to go to the Red Rocks show which was a split bill for 100 clams.

I realize that, but it just kinda shocked me. I think my Coldplay tickets were like 75 or 80, and I probably would have stroked out if there had been a 40-45 dollar service charge.

So as of this morning at 10:01, Rhino and I will be rocking out with our fists out.
