oh and you people who don't have to leave the Oklahoma vector for very long don't understand how bad BBQ can be and how much you miss it when deprived.

The owner is a friend of mine, and he's a great guy even though he's an A&M guy. Great food, you won't be disappointed.

Mrs. THA has been there with her parents. They report it was good. If you have the time, I would suggest a little trip to Chickasha and to Jake's Rib. Best I have ever had...

As a native Chickashaian I certainly am not trying to discourage someone from eating at Jake's but I would recommend Roy's on 3rd and maybe Minnesota. Whatever street Mazzio's in on turn East on that street off of 4th street aka HWY 81.

Roy's isn't going to give you an entire frybasket of fries but their barbeque is much better IMO.

NOT TRUE!! :D

I will say this about Jake's. That is the cleanest kitchen probably ever. I worked there when I was in Jr High and high school and that place is damn near spotless. It's muy cleaner than Eduardo's in Chickasha, Coach's in Norman and O'Connell's in Norman. Hands down.

The owners of Jake's are also big time OU supporters.

Jake's used to be good back inna day, but now it's overrated IMO.

Haven't gotten to the new Rudy's yet. We'll have to make a trip next weekend.

Ooooooo, Chickenshay bbq! I used to eat at Henry's back in the day....old white house....helicopters flying in from the oil fields....brisket to die for.
