... to badger (http://www.soonerfans.com/forums/member.php?u=39217) last Saturday night. It was on a beach, under the stars, and the ring fit perfectly.

There will be pictures at some point, but she has the camera and is much lazier than I. Is it sad that I thought of posting the news here before I thought about calling my grandparents? :D

Congratulations.

Don't worry, they balk the first couple of times that you tell them to "fetch you a beer" but they come around eventually. After 10 years, you don't have to ask anymore, they just watch and bring you one automatically.

Not a specific one set, but we're thinking springtime. I am not going to have a hot wedding or one that could possibly conflict with football. She's as much a fan as I am. :D

But when we set a date I'll be sure and tell you guys the wrong one so we won't see your hillbilly asses there. :mad:

okay, okay, i'm finally here. Geez, you guys. I didn't know this thread existed. How often do I come to South Oval (neverrrr).

So you guys want details and pictures, eh? Well, you'll have to wait on pics, but I have a cute one I can share later.

What beach? Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, but of course. It is place NormanPride's family vacations to every other year. They invited me along this year... and well, I guess I got surprised.

For those of you who think "badger" is a stupid name for a sooner fan, I am originally from Wis-cahn-sin. However, NormanPride and I both spent five years in The Pride of Oklahoma (he was 2000-2004, I was 2001-2005) so we both love football. However, we have slightly different tastes in sports, methinks. I like slightly obscure sports on tv, like poker and the world cup, whereas he likes to complain about world cup refs, nba refs... you get the idea. His favorite words to yell at the tv are "come ON!"

Okay, so that was probably too many details, but long story short, we've been officially together since the Sugar Bowl (what a disappointing game... or was it :D:D:D We both love the Sooners, but we don't know when the wedding will be... and NO JPEG RING ALLOWED! I like the one you gave me just fine, thx ;)

:sigh: I think it's probably safe to say you'll have plenty of leg room. We may have a FEW more people than in years past though. We'll see. We renovated the stadium a bit and fixed it up somewhat as well. Hope you enjoy. :D

let me fatham a guess as to who this is...

the reason I can't come is because some other Union alum is getting married the same day that you are. She asked me like a year ago to be a bridesmaid, so I am going to that wedding.

I couldn't bring myself to letting future Mrs. SoonerDood to know that I would have to miss it --- I saw her in the bridal shop trying on her wedding dress w/her mom helping by all the mirrors and stuff... alas, they both looked very happy and she looked wonderful, so it should be a great wedding.
