I went out Saturday night, I notice 3 kids come into the bar a little before 10:00pm. They ask the bartender, "Have you seen our mom?" The bartender told the kids I haven't seen her in about an hour.

I asked the bartender what was up with that, and he said that it happens all the time. I'm like every weekend and he was like probably twice during the week and just about every Friday and Saturday.

These kids were from about 7 years old to 12. The 7 year old was so sleepy and said he was hungry. It was really sad to see.

Yes.

I teach a class at church on Sunday night...one of the kids was bragging about spending five days a week at Six Flags, 10AM to 10PM. I asked him why, he said his parents worked. Sometimes he goes all day without eating (spends his food money on the games).

I swear, some parents are the succ.

Yes. I don't know if CPS will consider it enough info to follow up on - but you still need to call.

Yes. Those kids deserve better.

Pickled pigs feet, with a nail in 'em, at a minimum.

I think the consensus is 'yes'. And if you meet the mom, tell her you might know some people that would chip in for a tubal ligation.

My brother took the kids to White Water a few years ago. He noticed a bunch of kids walking from McDonald's where the parents had dropped them off on the way to work.

Evidently, there are ignorant parents out there who consider a $60 White Water/Frontier City season pass cheap summer babysitting.

Um hello, what happens if there is an emergency?

And yes, you should call DHS. I'd even call the police.

Yeah, and the worst thing is that by the middle of July those kids are bored with the park and find "other" ways to amuse themselves, usually destructive.
