Whilst I was in the Beantown area, I found a radio station you guys might like. It's available for free streaming on the internet, too.

WBOS (http://www.wbos.com)

Whoever the programming director for this station is isn't getting paid enough. The last couple of hours have included:

Sam Cooke
Aerosmith
Bonnie Raitt
Alarm
REM
INXS (the real one)
Chris Issak
Katie Matua
U2
George Harrison
Midnight Oil

It goes on.

Good stuff on this station. Right now they're doing the "Blues on Sunday" show.

I am going to be mega-****ed when I find out this is a ClearChannel station, aren't I?

Another cool feature on that site is that they archive all of their programs so you can go back and listen in case you missed it. Let's say you missed "New Ground" for yesterday June 24th. Just click on the link and listen, plus you can go to "Playlist" and see what is going to be on said program.

Good stuff.

Radio in Anchorage sucks rocks, so I was absolutely floored listening to an actual GOOD radio station. Now I have two. Yippee!

and CU station is pretty good. and has completely made the local band scene viable.

it's a real tragedy that OU can't give up it's radio station to the kids. I know Rhino has posted about this. but it's just wrong.

Well, when you own EVERY F*CKING STATION in 'Merica, one or two of them are bound to not suck. :D

clear channel and blowing goats have a lot in common.

and don't get me wrong, were they not victimized by the pokes...i think goats are OK.

Erm. Have a good time, man. I prefer Ninilchik just because it's an hour shorter ride over open water to get to the halibut.

Yeah, I didn't have a whole lot of input on the decision. MIL is kind of driving this thing. It's cool, we're only doing one day of halibut fishing.

You missed one of the Boston gems, tho Froz.

WERS, an independent station run by Emerson College (smack dab in the middle of downtown Boston) is actually pretty good. You can find it on iTunes.
